Ensis Partners Appoints Derek Pitts as Senior Advisor

Veteran restructuring, capital transformation and special situations executive brings decades of advisory, board and operating experience

Ensis Partners, a boutique investment banking and restructuring advisory firm, announced that Derek Pitts has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. An experienced and trusted voice in the restructuring space, Pitts brings more than three decades of experience advising companies, boards, creditors and investors through periods of transformation, strategic change and financial complexity.

Pitts previously served as Partner, Managing Director and Head of the Capital Transformation Group at Solomon Partners. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director in the Financial Restructuring Group at Houlihan Lokey. He currently serves as Owner and CEO of Farm.One, LLC, a Brooklyn-based vertical farm, brewery and hospitality business.

In addition to his advisory and operating leadership experience, Pitts is an experienced independent director for both public and private companies. He has served on the Boards of Phoenixus AG and Jenny Craig, Inc., where he chaired special committees overseeing restructuring and strategic alternatives processes. He is also a Senior Advisor to Queens Court Capital and serves on the Board of NY Sun Works, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing STEM education through hydroponic farming programs in New York City public schools.

Pitts holds a Master of Business Administration from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from Northeastern University.
