DBS Rolls Out Digital Audit Confirmation Package for SMEs

Customers will be able to receive personalised deals, instantly redeem rewards and/ or rebates, and check spend history across their DBS/POSB cards and DBS PayLah! account

Over the next few months, DBS Bank will integrate its rewards app, the DBS Lifestyle app, into DBS PayLah! so customers can enjoy personalised deals, rewards and conduct their everyday transactions – such as checking their spend history, redeeming rewards and/or rebates across all of their DBS/POSB debit/credit cards and DBS PayLah! accounts – on a single app.

The move will create a seamless user experience and bring greater convenience to more than 3.3 million DBS/POSB cardholders by allowing them easy access to consolidated deals via DBS PayLah!, strengthening its position as Singapore’s leading everyday app. More than 500 merchant partners, including familiar favourites such as Lazada, Shopee, foodpanda, Redmart, Chope, Agoda, and Jewel Changi Airport, will benefit from this integration as well, with more opportunities to provide exclusive deals to a larger customer base.

Cardholders can also expect to receive personalised nudges and contextualised offers on the DBS PayLah! platform with the integration. Enabled by the bank’s advanced intelligent banking capabilities, these will be further extended across an expanded universe of merchants. Customers can continue to enjoy the wide range of everyday services already available on DBS PayLah!, such as ride-hailing, ticket booking, food delivery, bills payment and more.

“With the integration, we aim to simplify and give our customers more freedom in their rewards and rebate redemption choices where they can instantly redeem rewards on either their cards or QR merchant transactions,” said Anthony Seow, Head of Payments & Platforms, DBS Bank. “This move to help our customers consolidate their transactions across their everyday payments and rewards on a single mobile platform is a paradigm shift, even as we progressively expand DBS PayLah!’s functionalities.”

In addition to lifestyle perks, customers can also scan to pay with their DBS PayLah! app at more than 180,000 acceptance points island wide. This includes mom-and-pop stores or hawkers that do not accept credit cards as a payment method, as DBS PayLah! is integrated into multiple major payment rails in Singapore including SGQR, PayNow QR, NETS QR and FavePay QR.

DBS continues to see high adoption and usage of its digital banking services since the onset of Covid-19, as Singaporeans are not only shifting to, but also sticking with, their mobile phones and online platforms for everyday payment and banking needs. DBS PayLah! customers made 2.3 million more transactions over January to March 2020 versus the same period last year, while the total value of transactions had gone up by 40%.
